So, Tavin made it through the night sleeping hard all night. Turns out I think he had his thumb sealed in his mouth all night long (it looked like a prune this AM, not to mention the outside of his lips had blood residue and man did his breath smell!). I think the thumb-sucking is not helping the healing process, but at least it comforts him. Anyways, his lip was quite swollen this morning and he has some marking on his chin under his lip on the outside. I can't tell if it's from sucking his bottom lip in and his top tooth is rubbing it or if it's the wound from the inside showing up a little on the outside. Poor guy. Here's my sad-faced bug...
I guess sucking in his bottom lip feels good because he did that all morning (and has a lot of drool too). Here he is playing...
After a huge breakfast of really soft, warm oatmeal and then about an hour later a soft, warm pancake and a cup of juice (he has to use a straw, not a sippy cup), he was acting more like himself. Here he is back at work as Handy Manny although today the little Teddy got replaced by a bigger one with arms to hold him in there (little Teddy kept dropping out).
Around 11:15am we headed out for a few errands (applesauce and yogurt run!) before picking Koen up at school. At this point Tavin quickly went on a downward spiral. He lost his appetite, got very sad and whiney. He just wanted to go home. After picking up Koen, dropping off our carpool buddy and then dropping Koen off for a playdate with a friend at a playground. I got the poor, dilapidated thing home. We fed Penn and then promptly got Tavin into bed. He's napping great thankfully. Tune in for another post later tonight. I took some really great pictures of Penn this morning. Can't wait to share them! It's 4pm now, so gotta entertain Koen and feed Penn. Never a dull moment!
