Hanging out with Huck

Thursday is the day that I am responsible for carpool pick up and drop off, so it leaves a small window of time to get home, accomplish anything interesting and then head back.  So, today we got to go to Hilary's for Tavin to have a playdate with Huck.  They live a lot closer to Koen's school than we do, so we ended up having about 2 hours and 45 minutes to hang out.  Time flies when we hang out.  Hilary and I chat, play with the boys and the little guys just love playing around together.  It's a cute little friendship.  Today we went to the playground when Penn was ready for an outing.  I brought my phone this time and got to take a few photos of the buddies on the swing.  (Penn is looking all content in the background).

He did great with our long, fun morning at Hilary's.  He took a great morning nap even though he had to be toted around in the car seat a little bit.  Then he was such a champ at the playground.  He took a little snooze on the walk back to our van.  Then he was awake most of the drive home, but fell asleep right before we pulled up at our place and so again I was able to transfer him inside and he stayed asleep.  Phew!  Usually lunchtime after carpooling is full of lots of noise between the boys catching up and Penn screaming, so this was a pleasant change!
