Post-Church Playground Picnic

With a forecasted high of 75 and no chance of rain for the AM hours, I knew today was a good Sunday for some time at the playground after church.  This has become a favorite part of our week for me when the weather cooperates.  I love being out with all 3 of my boys for the whole morning enjoying our time at worship, with our community and then outdoors.  Today we got to enjoy our playground time with some of our friends from church as well which made the experience even more fun than usual.  Koen's a little under the weather as he is fighting his first Kindergarten cold, but Tavin is in full "swing" as evidenced by the fun he's having here...

The kids enjoyed much of the playground, but for a little while the merry-go-round was a very popular item.  It started with Porter and then Tavin while Kyndal gave them a gentle spin.
Then Koen had to get involved of course, so here he is stirring things up.
And then Kaiser and Tavin decided to take Koen for a ride instead.
After just a few minutes of chatting with the Kyndal and Allison, the other moms who joined us from church, all the kids were on the merry-go-round (plus one other little guy who happened over because these guys made it look so fun).
Tavin really wanted to help push, but it was going too fast, so he had to stand by the wayside.  He's such a patient little guy.  Oh, and you can barely see Koen in either of these pics because he is doing cool "moves" amidst the spinning.  Ah, boys!
Penn of course was fantastic as usual.  He had a good, but abbreviated nap during church, then ate before we left.  He stayed awake on our way to the playground and then stayed up for the first hour we were there.  He eventually fell asleep in his carseat for a catnap and then we left for home soon after that.  I love my little guy and having him join us on our outings.  I love having 3 boys!  Here's a picture of adorable Penn (super cute outfit today).
