Busy Block

We are so blessed to live on a street where there are lots of young families and they are such friendly, great neighbors.  Many pleasant weather nights you can find a family or two congregated on the sidewalk with kids playing together and parents chatting, well, on Wednesday night we walked up to see a few neighbors that were gathered and it practically turned into a block party.  It was a gorgeous night and everyone was out enjoying one another.  We love that our kids have lots of other little guys and gals to grow up with here in the neighborhood.  Here are some pictures a neighbor took.  As you can see, Koen was riding his scooter much of the time and Tavin was borrowing a toy scooter belonging to one of our friends.  Tavin loved it so much, he did it non-stop for an hour!
Penn was fussy before we left the house, but he loves the BabyBjorn and the busyness.  He just munched on the front flap and watched all the little ones enjoying each other.  Such a good little bug!

A really good shot of the scooter-ing.  I'm thinking maybe it would be a worthwhile Craigslist Christmas find for Tav. =)

Koen did put his scooter down a little bit to enjoy some football moves with his buddy, Emmett.  Koen is so bold.  He doesn't mind picking up a game with bigger kids.  Thankfully, Emmett and his dad were very sweet about him wanting to join in.  I love our neighbors!
It was such a perfect evening.  Doug was at work until late, so it was such a nice way for the boys and I to spend our post-nap playtime getting fresh air and enjoying great community.
