Taco Time
In the summer we tend to grill almost every night. We also tend to cook Mexican a lot more than in the cooler months of the year. Lots of fresh veggies and meat on the grill make for some great family fiestas. With these meals, Koen is getting more experimental with eating like a "big boy." Tonight he really embraced the idea of the taco. We were quite proud. He ate 2!Tavin wished he was able to have a taco, but instead he enjoyed the individual ingredients (grilled chicken, corn on the cob-off the cob, garden tomatoes).Doug and I have been making a concerted effort to have dinner with the boys. It's not always super enjoyable and is always more hectic than dining alone after they are in bed. But, nevertheless, we've discovered that it is definitely worth it. Koen's dinner table manners and patience continue to improve and I like that they both are getting better and better at just eating what we are eating as a family.
