Exciting Start To The Week!

So, this morning about 20 minutes to 8am, Doug had just gotten back from a run and we heard tons of sirens coming up our street, then they actually stopped right across the street. Doug decided to go up and grab Koen so he could watch the activity (I always feel a little guilty about making this sort of thing entertainment, but it is just so riveting for little boys to watch these huge vehicles and the guys with all their gear!). The boys chatted about the fire engines (Koen doing most of the talking, informing Doug about everything) and ate their breakfast on the porch. I'm happy to report that it seemed that everything was OK quite quickly and that no one was harmed.
