Happy Fourth!
We are having a simple Fourth of July, but it's great to just be together enjoying a Monday off from the norm. Doug did some yardwork this morning and I took the boys to the playground in the wagon. They love this new vehicle! Koen is really great about pulling Tavin around. It's so, so cute! Tavin today got really into going in and out of the door while the wagon was parked. He got so into it that he got super upset when we did anything else. We eventually had to leave and he didn't like that either, so Koen was such a helpful big brother and rode with him and we distracted him with some apple slices. Check out the adorable brothers (which, by the way, can you see how much they look alike??)...At 11am we went over to our neighbor's house for a July 4th lunchtime party. Almost everyone there had kids, so it was a family affair and a lot of fun for all (although parties are definitely not as relaxing when you have little ones!). Our friends are fabulous hosts and always do such a nice job with their entertaining. Doug and I really enjoyed hanging out, being with the boys and our friends. Thanks Alex and Hilary. Tavin was pretty cranky until he got fed (and he ate about a pound of the pasta salad I made before he was full) and got cooled off by playing in the sprinkler. All the kids loved the water play and they all did great together. Here's are a shot of their fun...Well, Happy Fourth! Here's to a simple day and a simple night. Doug and I have no plans tonight, so hopefully we'll be chilling out after the boys go to bed. Ahhh...
