Cookout With Good Friends

Tonight we had a reunion with friends that we used to see weekly and now only get to see every few months. We were all in a small group together for years and it was when we were young married couples and then just entering parenthood. We got together tonight and we all have little ones now...crazy! We were able to squeeze in some catchup chat in between keeping our kids from stealing each other's toys, eating their dinners and keeping them hydrated (it's 90 here today!).

Tavin loved a little play police car that was at our friend's house where we all gathered. He was moody since he took a shorter nap this afternoon (who knows why!) and he was hungry.Look at this face (below), I'm pretty sure he is laying his claim to this toy for his use all night. That's basically how he acted when Big Brother and anyone else tried getting close to it.At one point, Logan, decided he would ride in the car with Tavin. Check out Tavin's receptivity to this idea...It's like he's saying, "seriously, buddy, I don't want you in my car!"

Koen also had fun playing with all sorts of fun backyard vehicles. Caleb, his little buddy, did an awesome job sharing and Koen had so much fun he barely ate any dinner and was quite the sweaty little guy by the time we got home.Thanks to Terry and Nicole for hosting. So glad we could get this group together after so long! We are so blessed by our friendships here in the Burgh!
