Backyard Brothers

Well, my blog posts are getting carried away tonight with all the alliteration!  Today was a perfect early Fall day.  Warm sun, a little crisp edge to the air.  Ahhhh...  We spent as much of the day outside including eating both lunch and dinner out in the fresh air.  Before dinner the boys all played outside.  Koen and Tavin often get carried away with our tiny backyard, pushing the limits of what's OK.  But at the beginning of this evening they had fun with their trucks, building with bricks and other supplies and throwing tennis balls up in the air.  Here's a video capturing one game/story Koen developed for them to play.  Yeah, it's loud in the Melder backyard!

Of course Penn can't contribute or enjoy such fun at this point, so he and I just sat and observed the craziness.  But since this littlest brother was in the backyard too, I captured the moment with a few more attempted shots at the two of us snuggling up as an audience to Koen & Tavin's play.

Aren't these guys adorable?  This mom job is exhausting, but also rewarding.  I can't get enough of their sweet faces!
