The best buddies had a great time and thankfully this morning the museum wasn't inundated with field trips as most schools have let out at this point. Here are just a few pictures of the kids keeping busy. I didn't want to repeat all the same things from last time, but I couldn't resist showing the pictures of Tavin saying, "hi," to Thomas. So adorable!
I spent time with Huck and Tav at the trains while Hilary hung with the big kids in the robot display so that these little conductors could get some extra time enjoying the trains. Tavin certainly appreciate it! Next we headed up to the 3rd floor. Last time we were at the museum it was packed with middle-schoolers so we completely skipped it. Today we spent over 20 minutes here probably. Huxley liked watching the fish. Tavin loved the submarine (so did Huck). Koen and Delia got busy on the PC's doing Google Earth searches. They were apparently searching for "the bad guys."
It took awhile to pull Koen away from Google Earth, but once I did we went up to the 4th floor where the kids get to play safely away from big kids in the enclosed younger child area. My personal favorite as we can just relax, keep an eye out for the big kids and oversee the little ones. Tavin loved the water table as usual and was so excited to get to use the dump truck today. I never understand why they don't have more than one of those. After about an hour or so up on that floor, we headed back downstairs for lunch outside on the patio overlooking the hustle and bustle of the riverfront (ducky boat tours, the sub, the Riverquest tour, trains, trucks and motorboats...pretty fun!).
Thanks for a fun morning out of the rain and humidity Hilary, D and Huck. We always enjoy hanging out with you. Looking forward to lots more playdates this summer before Koen and Delia start school!
