On Wednesday evening after I got Koen up from nap, we worked a little more on our gardening project. The tomatoes are coming along nicely, but they needed more soil and some water. Koen is very detail-oriented (well, when he chooses to be). It took him forever to distribute more soil into the bottom of the container and each of the tomato plants.
Next we planted lettuce and zinnias as it's only 4 weeks (or less) away from the last danger of frost. Here's Koen and I with our lettuce supplies.
I took my eyes off him when he was watering the lettuce and the soil got drenched. Hopefully the seeds haven't been destroyed. We'll see. Either way, planting these seedlings has been a fun project. We'll have to wait and see if we use these for our small urban garden or if it makes more sense to buy some small plants in a few weeks.
