Stone Harbor, Part II
Yesterday we had a rainy afternoon. The boys slept good naps in the same room amazingly (although Tavin did wake Koen up earlier than I think Koen would’ve wanted to be woken up). I got completely soaked on a long walk where I got stuck in a downpour about 20 blocks from the beach house. Oops! When we got the boys up from their naps Koen and Michael wanted to ride bikes with Doug, but it started raining again, so we stuck to indoor play. This beach house is loaded with perfect toys for Koen and Tavin, which is so great! They actually just play all on their own they are so happy about the new toys. Doug’s parents also brought Doug’s old Construx set. Koen absolutely loves it and Doug was very into it too truth be known. At one point, I actually think Doug had a sharing problem with Koen because he wanted to finish what he was building. =) Tavin did quite a bit of walking practice navigating around the living room. He is so proud of himself. He just beams and pulls his chin to his chest and smiles. It’s precious! We had another nice family dinner (that Koen helped grill some of with Doug - look at the cute cooking team!),got the boys to bed and then Doug and I enjoyed a nice evening walk (we did that the prior night too), so nice! We split an ice cream while overlooking the bay watching another storm roll in and the sun set. Perfect end to a great day!
