Change of Plans

Today was supposed to be sunny and hot, so we were headed to Krissy's house to play outside with her Jonathan and Faith as well as with Allison and her son, Luke. As we left the house it was getting very dark and starting to rain. By the time we were destinated, it was practically a hurricane...thunder, lightning, wind, rain. Crazy! We had packed all our swim stuff, I even had sunscreen on! Oh well, we made the most of it and enjoyed indoor play with someone else's toys. Jonathan and Faith were great hosts and did a great job sharing. Koen enjoyed wearing Jonathan's Thomas the Tank Engine costume.Koen wore the costume the entire time, as evidenced by each photo he appears in...In the above, check out how Tavin is amidst the big boys trying to participate.And yes, Koen's outfit got one step better. He added this biker helmet to his attire. He was so proud he even let me get a picture!Tavin and Luke did really well together. Luke is several months younger than Tav and already walks, so we were hoping the peer pressure might work on him. Luke's impressive skill, didn't make the slightest impression on Tav though. He was happy to sit beneath him and check out all that Luke could do. Doesn't Tav look like the younger one?I had to put this adorable picture of Luke on the blog. Look at those eyes! He is so cute!

We had a great visit, Krissy! Thanks so much. Lunch was delicious by the way. What a treat not to have to prepare a meal for me or the kids at midday today!
