Snowy Fun

This morning we woke up to snow. Doug was disappointed though as he desperately believed the weather forecasters here in the Burgh that tend to get way too excited about potential snow and overpromise quite often. We were "supposed" to get 4-8 inches. This morning we had a dusting. Doug then again thought that for sure, the forecasters were right and the heavy snow was coming later in the morning. Well, we still have a dusting. It snowed all night and most of the morning, but the ground must have been too warm for much to accumulate. Koen had his heart set on some snow play, so Doug took him to Highland Park. Oddly enough, the snow was accumulating there (it's only about a mile away!) and there were several inches of wet snow perfect for snowball and snowman making!

With these videos you can basically experience the fun time they had together too!

Koen's Frosty the Snowman...

Defending the Castle...

Attacking the Monsters...

It didn't look like it would work out from our vantage point at the house, but come to find out it was a great day to play in the snow. I'm so glad Doug took him out, it could be his last time playing in the snow with Spring right around the corner. Thanks for being such a great Daddy, Doug, Koen and Tavin are so blessed...you are a blast!
