I finally got Tavin out of his infant car seat. That's right...I've been lugging him around in that bulky, awkward seat since Day 1! He actually still fit in it so well and it keeps him so snug and warm, that I had put off moving him out (plus, he's kind of a small little bug!). It was starting to get too intense to haul up and down the stairs, in and out of the car, etc., so I started talking to mommy friends about which seat to buy for Koen so that Tavin could use his seat and one friend actually said they had an extra Britax car seat/booster we could have! What a blessing! Here's a picture...looks like new! (It is huge, looks like a one-seat sofa!).
So, the maiden voyage of Tavin facing forward was to get Koen from nursery school today. Unfortunately he wasn't super psyched because the poor kid was sick again. Come to find out he has an ear infection and when this picture was taken, I'm pretty sure he had a fever. Poor little guy!
Koen, on the other hand, is bouncing back from being sick quite well. He really enjoyed nursery school today and then he was so, so excited about his new seat. And he was quite impressed to see Tavin looking like such a big boy sitting in his old seat facing forward.
I'm sure Tavin will be much more excited about his new view next ride. =)
