Tavin has acclimated so well on this visit. During dinner most nights he sits next to us on the floor playing on a blanket. In his attempts to crawl, he reaches at anything that seems interesting. Last night he found the crinkly apple bag from the other day, tonight he found the basket of newspapers. We didn't notice at first and then we looked down and he had it tipped over and was thumbing through the classifieds.
After dinner, Dad started a bonfire. They are still burning all the wood (and there is much more) from the terrible ice/wind storm this past Spring. It was Tavin's first bonfire. He was very entranced by it, it is mesmerizing, especially before bedtime after a long, fun day.
