How ironic that we are celebrating Labor Day with Dad (Grampa) as he celebrates his retirement. Congratulations, Daddy, on all your hard work over the years and now...on to a new chapter of life!
This morning Grampa enjoyed blueberry muffins on the front porch with Koen. 
They also enjoyed watching Thomas & Friends' Hero of the Rails on DVD. Grampa likes Thomas almost as much as Koen..."bust my buffers!"

Grampa likes Thomas almost as much as Koen..."bust my buffers!"After some backyard playtime during Tavin's morning nap, we all headed out to lunch at Hofbrauhaus on the SouthSide. It was my first visit there and it was perfect for a day like today. The boys were fabulous. Tavin and Grampa are definitely forming a special bond!
Douglas surprised us all with a stop at a new gelato place on the way back to the car, Pino Gelato. Yum! Koen especially loved it!
The boys are in bed now and it is a super gorgeous day and I think I will take a walk for some fresh air. I love September!
