Bunk Bed Build

Today is a big day! I had ordered a bunk bed for Koen's room. He totally needs a real, normal-size twin bed now that he is getting long (not to mention how he likes to be accompanied by about 5 books to bed). Anyways, the bunk bed arrived last week and we decided it would be the perfect time to set it up when Dad was in town. So, today is the day!


Koen was very helpful in unpacking the bed pieces. Check out the video, he took it so seriously!



Tavin also tried to get in on the action by helping Grampa read through the instructions (he was getting so frustrated because he so wanted to eat them!).

After that though, I distracted Koen with a favorite DVD for awhile and Tavin laid down for a nap. Grampa and Daddy were then able to make some real progress. They called him back up to help when they were doing a few things that he could help with (very thoughtful)!

I like the beds a lot. Being the only girl in the house, I'm actually really excited for when the beds are fully up and I can put on the bedding and somewhat "decorate." =)
