Baby Shower in the Park

Although Koen and I were quite sick on Friday/Friday night and recuperating yesterday, today we enjoyed a family outing to Blueberry Hill Park for Nate & Megan's Baby Shower. It was a beautiful breezy and warm day for the party. Nate & Megan have some amazing friends and they put together a lovely spread of food, they had some ridiculous games planned and had so many thoughtful parts to the day.

Both Tavin & Koen missed their afternoon naps due to the party. I figured Tavin would fall asleep on the way home, but I think he was really wound up from all the stimulation of being awake so far past his naptime, he just squeaked and squealed. So cute! We got home around 4:30pm and Koen asked if we could go up to bathtime and bedtime. Poor thing. I had to tell him that we had to stay up at least long enough to feed Tavin dinner. The boys did get to bed early tonight, Tavin at 6:30pm and Koen at 7pm. Hopefully that won't hurt me tomorrow monring. I really hope they sleep in!
Tavin making friends with Benjamin. They were both smiling at each other here. Later, Tavin took off both of Benjamin's socks and put them in his mouth.
The park had a fabulous playground near the pavillion the party was at. It had a covered sandbox with dozens of trucks. Perfect distraction for Miles & Koen while we set up for the party.
The happy parents-to-be! Megan looked adorable in her dress with her cute belly sticking out. We can't wait to meet the little one!

Tavin was so excited about the baby that while I was talking to Megan he reached out and touched her belly. So cute!

Tavin and Uncle Nate. Tavin was super friendly today, allowing me to pass him around to people other than Doug, which was a fun change. We all had a great time. Hopefully I don't pay for it tomorrow! God bless to Uncle Nate & Aunt Megan in these final weeks before the baby arrives!
