Lots of Love for Jansen

This week Jansen got to meet and get loved on by lots of folks, both familiar and new.  Here's a sweet picture of Tavin having a conversation with him up in the playroom while I laid Penn Rye down for the night.  Such a good big brother to keep him occupied.  You should hear the sweet tone Tavin uses to soothe and chat with Jansen (he usually refers to him as "Janse").

On Wednesday, our friends, the Rogans, made us dinner.  Chase delivered it and got to finally meet Jansen.  Chase and his wife, Taylor, are expecting their first child in August, so Chase couldn't wait to get his hands on Jansen and imagine what the future holds for him.  He's so sweet with babies.  I was impressed!

Jansen gave him a big yawn.  Nice, Janse, nice.

On Thursday, we headed outside into some Springy warmth in the afternoon.  Before heading back inside for dinner, we knocked on our neighbor's door to see if she was home to meet Jansen.  She was and it was so special to have her meet our newest addition to the family.  Ruth is also the mother of 4 and so she was very excited we were expanding our family.  Ruth is like having a great-grandmother next door.  She showers our kids with love and attention.  So happy to brighten her day with a little snuggle with Jansen!

Of course Doug and I get our special snuggles with Jansen too.  I had to get a picture of this sweet moment between father and son.  Look how Jansen has nuzzled himself right up against Doug's cheek.  He is such a sweet snuggler!
