Truth in the Tinsel, Days 5 & 6

On Friday, our day was crazy busy, so we ended up postponing our "Truth in the Tinsel" activity until Saturday, so we had a combo day where we did two readings and ornaments.  It worked out well though since we were just staying around home anyways (you can see Tav was in hi s PJ's already after an early bath!).

For Day 5, we made Mary ornaments and read about the great faith this young girl had when she was delivered the news that she would bear this special baby boy, Jesus.  Koen did a great job reading again, but was totally naughty during craft time, so he lost glitter glue privileges, so his is the plain one (real tough punishment, huh?).
For Day 6, we read about Mary and Elizabeth meeting together after they are both expecting and the way they rejoice together and stay together in faith and anticipation of the promised sons they each bear.  The ornaments were Mary and Elizabeth paper dolls (complete with baby bumps..."just like Mommy's," Tav said).  The boys loved painting them, but I guess it's no surprise they weren't super psyched about cutting out the dolls and dressing them, so I think this one we might just discard.
