Dapper in December

Koen and his class have been studying the Nutcracker story, its music and the art of ballet the last few weeks in their music class.  At the end of this study, they had a field trip to look forward to...a live performance of The Nutcracker Ballet by the Pittsburgh Ballet Theater at the Benedum Center downtown.  Koen was so excited to attend and he took it to heart that the teachers suggested the children dress up appropriately for the show.  Thankfully when we were at Doug's parents' for Thanksgiving, Doug's brother, Dave, had set aside a bunch of hand-me-downs for Koen from his boys and there was a handsome vest, dress shirt and tie combo.  Koen was so excited to already have a reason to wear it!  He also made sure he had his hair done nicely too.  Look at this dapper little dude!

Koen had a great time at The Nutcracker (although I think one of his favorites was riding the bus with his classmates and being all dressed up all day).  I'm sure you will see this outfit again throughout December!
