Daddy's Helper

As toilet training continues on the homefront, Doug is left a little unsure of where he fits amidst all the quick runs to the bathroom, reminders to keep underpants dry and the celebratory dances and high-5's with success, so I think he was excited to pick Koen up from school today and go out on a little adventure (well, lunch and errands).  They had to go to Robinson and pick up some things at IKEA for church, so that meant they could have lunch at Chick-fil-A together first.  Here's Koen (a little bedraggled after Kindergarten, and yes, I know, he needs a hair cut!).

They did some errands for us and then hit IKEA.  Via text I heard that Koen was very into the experience with the little pencil and paper measuring tape, not to mention riding on the push cart!

And of course, how can Doug resist rewarding his happy helper with a $1 cone of soft-serve ice cream at the end of it all?   Looks good!
