Penn's 4 Month Appointment

We had a great appointment for Penn today.  What a blessing to have a healthy check-up!  Praise God!  This little guy is definitely growing.  He weighed 14 lbs. and 12 oz., which the doctor said was in the 40th percentile.  Last time, at two months, he was in the 70th percentile, so I guess he's not quite as chunky at this point.  His height has continued on the fast track though remaining in the 90th percentile with a measurement of 26 and 3/4 inches.

So how does this stack up with the other Melder bugs?
Koen at 4 months: 15 lbs., 4 oz. and 25 inches
Tavin at 4 months: 13 lbs., 11 oz. and 26 inches
Penn at 4 months: 14 lbs., 12 oz. and 26 and 3/4 inches
The summary on the stats?  Well, Koen must have been chunky!!  He had super huge cheeks, I bet the weight difference was mostly right there.  Tavin, on the other hand, was a skinny, long little thing and I definitely remember that.  Penn is on the same track since he's even longer, but thankfully a little heavier than Tav to stuff that extra length.

Of course I had to take some pictures at the appointment.  Here's my sweet 4 month old!

Tavin was with us of course.  And as usual, he just hung out playing happily with his little van.  I tried to get him in a picture with Penn and I.  Here's the outcome.  I love this first one!  The boys' expressions are hilarious!
Tavin got silly for this one and Penn seems to have gathered that the doctor will be coming in soon to poke and prod and then the nurse afterwards with ouchie shots.
Tav said he was all done, so to keep killing time, I tried to get pictures of Penn and I, but again they weren't ideal.  Here's Penn's cute profile.
The best one, but not great and see my poor bored Tav in the background.
Yes, this one is really actually just mostly of me, but it was kind of a good one of me and at least it has Penn's sweet eyes in it.  It was so hard to keep him from shoving that blanket in his face.  He's really teething now.  Spotted a little tooth bud today!
