So the weekend of Mommy (which many weekends are, I don't know why I chose to make such a big deal of it with my blog post titles this weekend) continues...
Today is so different than yesterday weatherwise (drop of over 30 degrees!), so therefore our activities have been quite different than yesterday as well.
Tavin's cold is still going (or dripping) strong, but he is in great spirits today. Koen is in good spirits today too, so that is great.
We again started our day with Skyping with Gramma & Grampa (such a nice treat that Doug left his computer here the last few mornings so we could do this!). It was adorable again. They actually read him a Thomas the Tank Engine book via Skype and he loved it!
During Tavin's nap we continued the train theme and watched a little Thomas and then played trains in Koen's room. I got to be Sir Topham Hatt.
After Tavin's nap we made lunch and ate and then Koen headed out into the backyard where apparently he and the "machines" are working on building a sidewalk. Tavin enjoyed staring out the back door watching him and talking to him (so cute!).Koen was really, really into his project out there. He's in full snow gear so that he would be super warm and stay out there as long as he wanted and look at him just laying in the dirt! Thankfully everything is washable and is now tumbling clean and fresh in the dryer. =)
Koen went to nap well again today (I did mention to him that if he didn't sleep this afternoon he couldn't go to the party tonight - Huck's turning 1!). Tavin and I had some time to hang out again and Tav set to work on one of his favorite new pasttimes...moving chairs. He is determined to clear them all out from under the dining room table. It's pretty hilarious. Here's a glimpse...
Tavin is down for his nap now too. Hopefully they will be quiet and restful until party time!
