Pennsylvania Trolley Museum Trip

The original plan for this morning was for Doug to yet again take Koen and Tavin to the pool at the gym, but when we woke up to rain and saw it was going to continue (much needed, yay!) Doug had a fabulous idea...take the boys to the Trolley Museum!  We had won a few free passes back in April and have been waiting to use them as a fun distraction post-baby, so the excursion was the perfect solution to a rainy, overcast summer day.  Today turned out to be the perfect day to go as well.  Trib Total Media just recently purchased the museum or something and they were celebrating today by giving away Chuggington train toys.  The boys came home with a new piece for their wooden train track (retails at $36.99!) and they each got two Chuggington cars that will fit on their track.  What luck!  Here are the pictures that Doug took to catalog their exploration of the Trolley Museum.

Here you can get a sense for the hangar-like building the trolleys are located in and how many are there to look at.  Doug was really impressed by the museum.  He said the actual trolley/streetcar from "A Streetcar Named Desire" is located here.  In the below pictures you can see the "Bellevue" trolley car.  We used to live in Bellevue, so I'm guessing why he snapped those pictures.

Look at these sweet little guys waiting to board! =)
A street sweeper trolley (Tavin must have loved this!).

Look at these cute little engineers!
Part of the tour includes a ride on a trolley.  Here the boys are waiting their turn.

These brothers are so cute.  Penn can't wait to join them I'm sure!
Looks like Koen enjoyed the scenery.

Look how happy these little guys are.  I gotta say, they have an awesome Daddy who loves to plan and share in these adventures with them.  Thanks, babe.
