Today we had a very fun visit from dear friends who live in Brooklyn, NY, but are staying about an hour away with family for the week. The last time we saw them was during our NYC trip in October (pre-Penn), so it was great to catch up face-to-face again, get our kids together and introduce them to Penn. Emily and her daughter, Rita (two months younger than Tav), came around 11am. We quickly headed out to Osceola for some playground and sprinkler fun. With two toddlers around, Koen rose to the occasion as usual when this occurs and was a great leader and helper with the young ones. Tavin and Rita had a blast together. They loved the wagon ride there and back (got very silly and loud...pretty funny) and then they also had fun playing together at the playground and after lunch at the house. I wanted to chat it up with Emily, so I didn't take as many pictures as I should have to capture the fun Rita and Tavin had together, but here are two action shots from the sprinkler. Pretty cute!
It was so nice to be with Emily and let our kids play together. I hope we continue to get to see each other a few times a year and keep our kids in touch. So fun to see friendships grow from one generation to the next. Thanks for the special trip to visit us, Em!
