On Saturday, Doug and Koen did some big boy errands and Tavin and I hung around the neighborhood. We ran a few of our own on-foot errands and then stopped at the playground on our way home before lunch. Tavin was so happy to be playing on the equipment. He's amazing. Some days it seems he just wants brother to be there and other days he is so happy to be independent trying things out on his own. Saturday was one of those days. For awhile he happily climbed the stairs and played peek-a-book in the tunnel or just went down the slide and did it all over again. But then he decided to try and climb up the slide. This was a fun (and silly) challenge as after the first few steps he usually slid down on his belly laughing and started again. But he gained confidence and ability and soon figured out how to make it all the way to the top. Look at his progress and how excited he is as he reaches the top.
Starting out...A proud picture we texted to Daddy to show our fun...Reaching the top! Hurray! After a few more exhausting runs up and down the slide we headed home for our little lunch date (I made us our own personal pizzas, yum!). A sweet morning with my Tav. Congrats on your new accomplishment, Tavin. You are really growing into a big boy!
