Follow the Leader Again

Koen is really enjoying learning how to play and interact with Tavin actively. Tavin is a good sport crawling around following Koen. He actually sometimes gets a real kick out of finding Koen when he hides. Tonight Tavin was tired, but still engaged with Koen in the game. I caught a good video of the two of them. Watching them "play" together really got me thinking. What is better? Being a first-born and not having a playmate for the first few months/years of your life, but also having a quiet, peaceful, adult-attentive home? Or is it better to be the second-born who has a built-in playmate from birth, but then loses some attention-time and definitely has to deal with a lot of noise from the older sibling(s). I can't decide. I just felt a little bad for Tavin tonight as he got run around in circles.
