We are happily back in the Burgh! Yesterday was a travel day for Tavin, Koen and myself and it went very well. Tavin managed the first flight during his morning nap pretty well despite not falling asleep. Koen is great on the plane rides between all the activity outside the window, the peanuts and juice and the DVD player (not to mention his best bud, Teddy). We had a 3 hour layover in Philly which turned out much better than I anticipated. It landed right at lunchtime and that worked out really well. Koen was a bundle of energy there, so we mostly just walked through terminals, went to the restroom a few times and stopped in to read books at the airport Borders. He eventually got tired before boarding our next plane and Tavin finally fell asleep in the stroller, so Koen and I just snuggled on a chair and he rested while I whispered stories in his ear. I love moments like that!
Here are a few pictures from our trip...me with all our gear before our first flight and then the boys at lunchtime chilling out in Philly.

Here are the boys getting some of our luggage into the parking garage.
Koen has already mentioned twice how he misses being at Gramma & Grampa's without me even mentioning it. So sweet! He was also very excited to play this morning here at the house (last night when we go here he said, "oh, I do remember my house!").

Daddy of course brought back gifts from Nicaragua and Koen was very excited about the shoes Doug got him there. He wore them this morning with his pajamas!
It's great to be home and get unpacked, re-settled, etc. here on the homefront, but I do miss the extra help and the fun company of being home in NH. We look forward to getting back there in September for Abbie's wedding! Thanks, Mom and Dad, for everything. It was a great visit!

Oh yeah, a little report on my garden in the backyard. It went crazy with growth while I was away (thanks, Hilary, for all the watering!). The tomatoes are one foot shy of being as tall as the fence! The butternut squash has grown so large that it is busting out under the fence and growing down the retaining wall!
