Tonight we had the pleasure of a pizza picnic at the Plaza (Schenley, we aren't in NYC at the Plaza) with some dear old friends we don't get to see very frequently anymore. It was so much fun to catch up and to watch the kids re-acclimate to one another. It took a little bit, but some tag and then playful wrestling broke out and that broke the ice. They were just good, old friends being kids together. Those were the days, right? Here they are running around (they are going to sleep awesome tonight!).
Penn played with the bigger kids some, but he also did his content loner thing. You can catch a glimpse of his red shirt to the bottom right of the Cathedral of Learning.
Jansen spent a lot of time in the BabyBjorn, but also enjoyed some tummy time on the picnic blanket. Squinty smile (even more squinty than usual because of the sun).
Before leaving, the boys got the treat of riding the carousel with their friends. Here's Tav. He chose to ride the tiger.
Huxley being hilarious with his poses on the dolphin.
Penn was next to Delia and felt oh so special because of it. Every time he passed us, he was chattering away to Delia about something. So cute!
Delia's aweseom pose on her panther.
A "fly by" by Koen on the bald eagle. He was so excited to get one of his favorite birds!
Happy, happy Penn Rye on his elephant.
Hilary, Alex, Delia and Huck, thanks so much for hanging out with us. We loved the opportunity to be with you for a bit. We are still so thankful for your friendship and the memories we share. Hopefully it won't be too long until we get together again (the kids were already asking on the way home!!).
