So Friday was Tav's first real, full day of preschool and this kid was ready for it. He could not wait! He again wanted to dress up and look like Daddy (complete with bag across his chest). Look at my handsome little 4-year-old!
Tavin was cool, collected and confident. He remembered right where his cubby was, hung up his bag and donned his nametag.
We followed the rules and washed our hands before heading into class. Then Tavin stepped right up to put his sticker on the attendance chart and then he was oh, so ready to play!! Penn and I stuck around for a few minutes, but that was it because Tavin actually asked us to leave!! I totally understood. Preschool for Tavin is his thing. As a middle child, you don't get a lot of alone time, you don't get lots of things that are just for you at this point in life, but preschool, it's all his right now. He was ready to be the big boy he is and have me leave and he was definitely ready for Penn, his little sidekick, to be outside a two-foot range. We left with barely getting a goodbye/love you from Tav, he was too into what he was doing. Happy First Day, Tavin. I hope and pray it's another year of new learnings, friendships and discoveries!!
