Hazel & Penn are Friends

We hung out with my friend, Deborah, and her 3 kids all summer long on a weekly basis for the most part.  Each of my three have a pal that is close in age.  Penn is almost a year younger than Deborah's youngest, Hazel.  They didn't really connect this summer, but today when we had an opportunity to have a playdate at Highland Park, these two were totally buddies and it was adorable!  I grabbed a few cute pictures of their favorite activities...the pure joy of drinking at a water fountain...

...and then there's counting, "1, 2, 3, go!," and sliding down a wooden ramp together.

I love this phase of a child's life when they start to really make their own little friendships.  So fun watching you and Hazel this morning, Penn.  What a joy!
