Tav Goes to Work with Daddy

Last week Doug came up with the idea of taking Tav to work with him some time before preschool started.  Tav, Penn and I are having an awesome time during our days while Koen is at school, but Tav is definitely missing the activity and extra fun of having big bro around.  Doug thought it would be a fun treat for Tav to accompany him to work.  Tav agreed it was a fantastic idea and so they set a date for today (and then the countdown began).  Tav has been asking us how many days until Friday all week.  He couldn't wait to be Daddy's tag-along to work.  So cute!!  He dressed the part too in his button-down and khakis (shorts though because it's 90!).  Doug had an extra-special surprise for him...they got to take the bus to work!  Can you tell Tav's excited?
While Doug worked for a few hours in his office, Tav got the run of the KidzSpace in the church.  He built a huge skyscraper out of Duplo Lego blocks, played with all the trucks in the nursery, ate the snacks I packed and numerous other fun activities at his fingertips.  Around 11am, he and Doug caught another bus down to the library and had some fun outside and then grabbed some books inside.  Here's Tav just embracing his day. =)
Penn and I met the boys for lunch at a favorite restaurant spot, The Porch at Schenley Plaza.  What a treat!  Tavin was still smiling ear-to-ear enjoying his day with Dad.  So precious.  I'm sure there will be more of these in his future.  It was a big hit!!
