Soccer Time

Koen got to join a real soccer team this Fall.  He is so excited!  He and one of his best buds from school are on the same team.  Doug and I (and the little brothers) got to go watch him last Friday.  It was just a classic, All-American experience.  Kids playing on the playground, siblings suited up on the field and parents along the paint lines cheering on their little ones.  And Koen did a great job.  It was a blast to watch him (the little brothers enjoyed watching it too, although they also really enjoyed playing on the playground).  Here are the attempted action shots (Koen is #5)...

Jansen must have been jealous for attention because only moments after we arrived he had a huge explosion in his pants and I had forgotten to pack a spare outfit, so he had to go shirtless after I changed his diaper.  It made us look dilapidated, but it just made him look cuter.

He was pretty tired since the game was up against bedtime though.  Thankfully, they are just a quick hour!

Koen did a great job his first game.  Since then he's had two other games.  He got one goal on Wednesday and two goals tonight.  Great job, Koen!  We all can't wait to get to another game and cheer him on!
