The brothers are doing awesome getting used to having Jansen around. Here are a few examples.
The boys have even included Jansen in their crazy loud car chase play. In related news, Jansen is a hard sleeper.
We, of course, have also been taking pictures of Jansen here, there and everywhere this week. The real challenge is to try and get him with his eyes open. Here are some of my favorite pictures of Jansen this past week.
Bright-eyed in the morning the other day. It's so fun getting to know his sweet face!
He seems a little stiff...look at those raised shoulders and fingers sticking straight out.
Passed out after a satisfying feeding. Content and full clearly.
I'm not the only one that enjoys sweet cuddles with this little guy. Doug pops out of bed in the morning if Jansen wakes a little too early for his first feeding and gladly grabs him for a morning snuggle. Look how comfortable Jansen is on his Daddy's shoulder.
Gramma has also been enjoying helping with Jansen. Jan and Jansen...pretty sweet.
Jansen isn't the only Melder boy Gramma spends time with though, she's been available for all the boys and they love it. Check out Gramma's hockey moves with scrappy Tav. What a good sport Gramma is!
Indoor knee hockey isn't the only way we try to burn off cabin fever. Check out Tav doing a kids workout DVD. He is so cute about "keeping healthy with exercise."
Almost daily craft time or Play-Doh time is a must on these frigid winter days with the little guys here at the house so much.
On Valentine's Day, Koen and Tavin had a special outing with Miss Kylie. Gramma stayed home with Jansen and Penn and Doug and I had to meet a couple for brunch, so Miss Kylie took Koen and Tavin to their swim lessons and then proceeded to give them quite a fun afternoon out and about. So helpful!! Here they are at swim lessons.
Then at lunch at Panera.
Then they went and hung out at Learning Express (and Miss Kylie totally caved and bought them these little gifts!).
Finally, they went and got a smoothie at a coffee shop and then hung out at the East Liberty library for awhile. Pretty great morning/afternoon! Thanks, Miss Kylie!
Well, that's the summation in pictures.
