Future Firefighters

Last night was National Night Out which means that our super awesome neighborhood had a block party on our street.  It's been a highlight of our summers here in the Burgh since we moved here.  They close the street, the firemen come and show off their truck as well as open up the hydrant for the kids to play in and all the neighbors come out for a potluck in the middle of the street.  I love urban living and I love our neighborhood!  Koen and Tavin both enjoyed the fire truck visit this year.  They were especially excited because the fire truck came three times as they got called away to fight fires two times during the evening.  We thought it was so nice of this great group of guys to come back after doing that tough job!
