Five Year-Old Fun

It's been a busy few days, so I'm a little late in posting these cute pictures.  Koen had such a fun time with his 5 year old buddies, Jonathan and Faith, on Wednesday.  Their mom, Krissy, picked Koen up around 10:30am and he didn't get home until 4:45pm.  Talk about a packed day of fun.  They went to the Science Center to beat the heat and humidity.  They enjoyed two auditorium shows while there and also played at the Sports Works facility.  They toured the submarine and spent a little time outdoors by the river.  Possibly most excitingly, they rode the new subway from the North Shore to downtown and back (it was free because of their museum passes I believe).  Here are the few pictures that the amazing Krissy was able to grab despite keeping up with three 5 year-olds and being in her second trimester of her pregnancy!

Thanks so much, Krissy.  This was such a special day for Koen and a nice change of pace for Tavin, Penn and I.  You are amazing!

  1. It was a fun day! And the subway is free for everyone from the Allegheny stop to the Steel Building stop. I guess it is an incentive to get more people traveling downtown.

Glad we got to spend some time with Koen!

  2. Thanks for clarifying about the ride, Krissy. Now if they could just build a subway to other neighborhoods (like the East End!). Thanks again for the special day for Koen!
