A Visit to Grace Goodie

Today Tavin and I had the pleasure of visiting my friend, Mary, and her sweet little girl, Grace Goodie.  After dropping Koen off at preschool we ran a few errands in the East End and then headed over to Troy Hill to see Mary and Grace and bring them a meal.  Mary lives right around the corner from a playground, so we took the baby and my big boy there to hang out.  It was a gorgeous morning and it felt great in the shade.

Tavin had so much fun on the slide.  He would swing like a monkey, then drop to his bum and go down the slide.  When he went over the bumps he would say, "Rattley-Bumpa!"  That's a phrase from one of his favorite books right now.  It made Mary laugh just about every time.

I'm sure you noticed his many Trader Joe's stickers and his Elmo band-aid.  He is quite the character.  He scored a ton of stickers at TJ's this morning and he loves to decorate himself with them.  Then the poor guy took two spills while at the playground opening up his knees a little bit, so a cute band-aid and a kiss from Mommy made everything all better.

Now for the super cute pictures.  Tavin loves babies.  Grace Goodie was no exception.  He's so curious and sweet.  During our time at the playground he would gently peek in on her in the sling, but when Mary got her out to wake her up, Tavin was very intrigued in this wriggling little person!  Very cute.  I can't wait to introduce him to the little one we are expecting!

Thanks for a fun morning, Mary.  You are doing an awesome job as a mom.  I'm so impressed!  And it's so fun having you as one of us moms now.  Looking forward to lots more "playdates" in the future.
