Koen was less riveted, but he loved keeping tabs on all the vehicles and changes going on as the workers moved through the paving process. You can guarantee it was a loud start to the day here between Koen's announcements and the intense noise coming from all the vehicles.
After the road work moved up away from the house, the boys were ready for the hair cuts we had chatted about getting done. Here's the Tavin before picture (notice how Koen turns into a zombie when watching a DVD and it's just an old Thomas, not even one of his current favorites!). Tav doesn't look happy, but I promise he loves getting his hair trimmed and watching Thomas (he is actually holding a toy Thomas under the big sheet).
I have to say that I'm happy with the job I did on Tav's hair. I finally trimmed the hair that goes across the top of his head (and often falls down onto his forehead) as it was starting to get into his eyes. He is so charming with his little boy hair cut!
And here's the zombie again. Oh, Koen! Yes, he looks quite disheveled. This is how he rolls. Right out of bed into his day. No need for grooming, who cares? That's why I've begun liking his hair short.
Here's the finished product, unfortunately I couldn't get a smile out of him while he was still glued to the Berenstain Bears show he got to watch during his cut. His cut is cute though. Next cut I will have to take him to Hairdressers II so that Michelle can use the buzzers on his neck and around his ears, etc. Next we had plans to meet friends at Highland Park, so we took off as soon as I vacuumed the living room and got the boys through a quick bath to get all the hair off of them. Koen's hair has gotten so thick, I can't believe it. Tav's is still precious baby hair, but he had a little stuck on his ears and neck too. Anyways, as soon as we could we got outside just as the clouds were parting and the sun was starting to shine and finally dry out and warm up the Burgh. Koen and Tavin loved our park visit. We met our new friends Adrianne and her kids, Owen, Claire and Carson. They are such a sweet family. Koen and Owen get along so well and kept each other very busy. Tavin liked impressing me with his tunnel crawling (and he loves to hide in there!) and he drove me all over town in the car again. Here are some cute pics of my Tavin.
Well, it was a busy morning, but a very nice one with my boys. I love being able to get them outside for so much of the morning. We all enjoy it so much!
