Two Growing Boys = A Lot of Food!

So, now that Tavin is really diving into real, solid, adult food, I am starting to realize just how much these boys are going to consume. I told someone recently that we might as well just take cash out of the bank and put it in their mouths! It is unbelievable how much Melder boys eat!

Here's a glimpse of what a day entails (this is actually what they consumed yesterday)...

Breakfast:
Koen - 3 pieces of whole wheat toast, half a banana and a bowl of yogurt
Tavin - 1 piece of whole wheat toast and a 4 oz. jar of banana baby food

Lunch:
Koen - 2 whole peanut butter & jam sandwiches and a pear
Tavin - 3 oz jar of baby food, 1 whole pear, and 1/2 a potato

Dinner:
Koen - 1 piece of spinach & mushroom whole wheat homemade pizza and 1/2 cup of green beans
Tavin - 1/3 cup of green beans, 6 oz. jar of baby food, and a whole banana, followed by a few handfuls of Toasted O's

Isn't that incredible?? How are we going to keep up when they are 13!! I love that they are both good eaters and I really just think it is hilarious how much they consume. I'm thankful that they are healthy little boys that require lots of delicious and nutritious food to fuel their fun!
