First Christmas Party of the Season!

Yesterday we went to the Family Christmas Party at North Way Oakland. It was so much fun! The team at church did a great job. They certainly kept us busy. There were songs, activities, a bounce house, a visit from Santa and a cute skit about the true meaning of Christmas.

Koen just loved every aspect of it. Here are some pictures of him taking advantage of all the fun.
Koen in the bounce house. He did somersaults and everything! Making reindeer antlers. He also enjoyed decorating Christmas cookies.
Here's part of the skit. Who's that sitting on the left? Could it be a Pastor Doug dressed up as an elf? Oh dear! Not to mention Santa on the right...is that Pastor Scott?
The Christmas songs were so much fun for the kids. I always like them too!
Koen coloring with "Miss Cookie," one of his favorite Kidz Church workers (and babysitters!).
The above is my favorite picture. It is just hilarious that Koen would be bold and brave enough to sit with Santa. We actually had to coax him away. He is really interested in Santa this year. He absolutely loved this opportunity to get his picture with him!

Tavin didn't really get into much of the party, although he ate about 30 grapes while watching the Christmas carols being sung. He was so good. The party was mostly during his morning naptime, so I laid him down in his car seat in Doug's office. I was so surprised. He totally took a 45 minute nap in the dark office amidst all the chaos. I peeked in on home a few times and he was passed out and so sweet!

Here's a picture of Tavin in his Christmas-y outfit later in the day playing with Daddy. Doug had Tavin duty in the afternoon because Koen and I had to head out to another party! One of Koen's nursery school friends invited him to a birthday party. Very cute! Koen had fun and did well even though it was during his naptime. Although we paid for it around 6:30pm. He was exhausted! He got to bed early though and hit the pillow hard! After I laid Tavin down, I got to go out with Aunt Abbie and saw Mannheim Steamroller for free! It was awesome!
