Christmas Break 2015/16, Part 1

The boys have two weeks off this year!  They are super excited about it (especially Koen) and I am too.  As I'm writing this we are already a week in, so here's a few photos from the first week (not including Christmas Cookies with Friends, Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, they get their own blog posts).

Janse-man is getting a lot of attention these days with all the doting brothers around.  He loves to show off all his tricks for him.  Here's his huffy-puffy-crinkled-up-nose face.
Koen and Jansen have a super sweet connection.  Koen loves that he can help with Jansen and Jansen feels so safe with his biggest bro.

Look who sits up in the tub with no help from a pad or Bumbo now!  And he's even already figured out how to crawl around in the tub.  Frightening!  Often Koen likes to bathe with him which is a huge comfort to me.  Then I know there's one more set of eyes and hands on this slippery little fish!
The boys got to go to the Carnegie Science Center.  We are getting use out of the last few days of our membership before the New Year hits!
Koen participated in one of the educational shows they did.  He is trying his very best not to smile - he's got it!
Tav had his six year well checkup (I know, super fun Christmas break activity).  Full bill of health.  Praise the Lord!
Tuesday night Aunt Abbie & Uncle Zac flew in from Texas and Gramma and Grampa drove in from NH.  So wonderful to have family in town for the holidays!  Jansen easily warmed back up to them all as you can see here.
Grampa and Doug took the three big boys on a bike ride on the Heritage Trail.  We are loving this Spring-like weather during the boys time off from school.  It's so nice to be able to get them outside every day!

Some more fun time with Jansen, this time for Tav.  He's really sweet with him (less interested than Koen, but when he takes the time to hang out with Janse, he's very sweet with him).
After Christmas, Tavin got to put his new bike bell on a "new" bike.  It was time to move Tav up to the next size bike (we have quite an array in the basement).  He was super excited and did great making the transition.
Stay tuned for more, but that's just a smattering of Christmas Break so far!
