So the days have been very full lately which leaves little time for photo snapping and blogging, but I did manage to record some highlights from Koen and Tavin from the week.
This past week Koen had a big assignment for school...to make a diorama to go along with the animal report they are researching and doing at school. His assigned animal is the red-tailed hawk. He was super excited as he is really, really into birds. He loves researching and after we read over what we could find in books and visited a few helpful sites online, Koen drew up this list to keep him on task to get his assignment done.
This is how the diorama looked after our Sunday material hunt and work session in the afternoon.
And here's the final version with the hard-boiled chicken (I mean hawk) eggs that Koen speckled to look like those we saw online. He also named each one.
Tavin had a fun week at preschool as well. Two weeks ago when he was sick they tie-dyed t-shirts and since Tav missed it, his friends did one for him. He was so proud to wear it this week. Look at that happy preschool smile!
Tavin also had a dentist appointment this week. He wore his t-shirt from Dentist Aunt Leah for the occasion. And we texted this picture to her after his "no cavity" report from the dentist.
Well, that's about it for what I caught as highlights! My how the weeks just fly by!!
