Today Penn had his first swimming lesson ever. I was really nervous that he was going to be, well, nervous. Thankfully he was aware enough of the expectations because of watching his brothers that he just followed orders and proceeded through the lesson. Here he is getting his swim cap on (he would not let it touch his ears!).
I shouldn't give Penn all the credit. He had some very obliging classmates. It was so nice that all the little boys just did what the teacher said and didn't balk at a thing. Phew! Peer pressure can be a good things sometimes!
Penn made great progress in just the 30 minutes. Here he is about halfway in. He was so brave and so trusting of the teacher (by the way, the teacher is awesome! if you are in the area and need a swim lesson, you have got to check this program out!).
Good job, Penn Rye! So exciting to see you learning a new skill and being so brave and courageous!
