Wednesday is science experiment day on my little calendar of events for Koen and I this summer. This week Tavin didn't nap on Wednesday, so I allowed him to join us in the simple experiment. Koen was not thrilled about this, but eventually came around. This week we learned about how rainbows are made. First we did the experiment of splitting up sunlight by reflecting it through water onto a white wall.
Thankfully it did work and we got a little rainbow on the wall. Koen was especially psyched about it. Next we moved on to coloring the rainbow. Koen really enjoyed leading Tavin by drawing the color first and then passing the marker to Tavin so that he would know the order of the colors. Koen (and Tavin) chose to do full circle rainbows since we learned about those happening as well.
Good job, boys. It's so fun to see you learn new things!
